Bee Merchant Privacy Policy
Bee Merchant is provided by the Bee Delivery team for merchants to manage items, orders, finance, customer support, and integrations with other services in the Bee ecosystem. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information, and the rights available to you.
1. Scope
- This policy applies to the Bee Merchant mobile app, web dashboard, customer support channels (including the Telegram help desk), and related APIs.
- If Bee Delivery shares data between Bee Merchant and other Bee products (such as the Bee consumer app or Bee Driver), the sharing will observe this policy and the privacy terms of the relevant product.
- If a master service agreement signed between Bee Delivery and an enterprise customer conflicts with this policy, the master agreement prevails.
2. Information We Collect
- Account and identity information: Merchant profile details (name, ID/passport number, phone number, email), business entity information (legal entity name, business licenses, food safety permits), contact records, and authorization documents.
- Store and operational information: Store name, logo, addresses and geocoordinates, operating hours, delivery preferences, categories and tags, store status (open/closed), and the items, options, inventory, and pricing you maintain.
- Transaction and financial data: Order history, order status, revenue summaries, settlement and withdrawal requests, bank account snapshots, withdrawable balance, fees, and tax information.
- Customer and order information: Customer names, phone numbers, delivery addresses and notes, order photos, cancellation requests, item details, and custom options attached to orders.
- Support and communications: Tickets you submit, chat transcripts, attachments, Telegram session tokens, internal handling notes, agent identifiers, and call-back preferences.
- Media and uploaded content: Product photos, order images, business permits, identity verification photos, and other files you upload. We retain metadata such as filename, size, format, and upload time.
- Device and log information: Device model, operating system version, language, app version, IP address, network status, device identifiers (such as Expo installation ID), push notification tokens, login timestamps, error logs, and permission settings (camera, gallery, notifications, etc.).
- Usage and interaction data: Page views, button clicks, configuration changes, audio alert preferences, abnormal popups, and crash reports used for analytics and troubleshooting.
- Data from third parties or partners: Information shared by the Bee consumer app, delivery partners, payment or banking providers, and regulators or government agencies as required by law.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve Bee Merchant, including catalog management, order processing, settlement, and support.
- Verify identities and enforce permission controls so only authorized personnel access sensitive operations.
- Synchronize data across the Bee ecosystem, enabling collaboration with the consumer app, Bee Driver, support platforms, and reporting tools.
- Send transaction notifications, billing updates, system prompts, audio/video alerts, and security warnings.
- Analyze usage, monitor performance, run experiments, and improve product features.
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, such as anti-money laundering, tax reporting, dispute handling, government inspections, or judicial requests.
- Prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, abuse, cyberattacks, or other security risks.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
- Internal sharing within Bee Delivery: To ensure order fulfillment and support collaboration, the Bee consumer app, Bee Driver, customer support, and finance teams may access necessary merchant data.
- Service providers: We rely on Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Authentication), Google Cloud Functions, Expo, React Native SDKs, analytics and logging vendors, SMS/voice verification services, payment and settlement partners, and Telegram integrations. These partners may access data only under contractual obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information to authorities, courts, or regulators when required by applicable laws or when necessary to protect life, property, or safety.
- Business transactions: During mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, financing due diligence, or asset transfers, we may share relevant data with potential counterparties subject to confidentiality safeguards.
We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose personally identifiable data to unrelated third parties without your authorization.
5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
- Data is primarily hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase) or infrastructure controlled by Bee Delivery. Servers may be located in Singapore or other Google-designated regions and may involve cross-border transfers.
- We encrypt data in transit with TLS and enforce access controls, permission segregation, key management, and operational audits at rest.
- The apps use mechanisms such as AsyncStorage and Secure Store to keep login tokens and preferences on device.
- We retain data for the shortest period needed to fulfill the stated purposes and extend retention when required by law (for example, tax or accounting obligations). When accounts close or contracts terminate, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable time unless retention is still required for legal or dispute resolution reasons.
6. Your Rights
Where permitted by law, you may:
- Access, download, or obtain a copy of your data.
- Request corrections or updates to incomplete or inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete, anonymize, or restrict processing.
- Withdraw consent for optional permissions or marketing communications.
- Object to automated decisions (where applicable).
- Opt out of direct marketing or other processing based on legitimate interests.
